Sublimation Explained:
1. A branding method whereby a design is applied to specially coated ceramics, metals and polyester cloth by using 3 main ingredients: sublimation ink, heat and pressure.
2. The flexible characteristics of a product are not affected, since sublimation ink is a dye and migrates to the product.
3. There’s no ink build-up on the finished product, as the ink simply transfers to the product, so that is looks like part of the item.
4. It ensures photorealistic, premium, full-colour prints.
5. Applications: White products made from at least 60% polyester fabric and polymer-coated products such as mugs.

Full-colour digital printers fitted with sublimation ink, are used to print designs onto special paper.

The paper is then automatically cut to the correct size and shape, and placed onto the surface of the product being branded.
